April Oil Bulletin Released for OPOs

Together with PetroCouncil.kz and Naft@KZ, PetroMining released a new “Monthly Newsletter on Oil and Gas Production and Processing in Kazakhstan” based on the results of April 2024. You may access the newsletter by following the link.

This newsletter, illustrated with tables and graphs, provides a general overview of the current state of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan:

⦁ on the volumes of oil production, oil shipments to the domestic market and exports;
⦁ on world oil prices and prices on the domestic market;
⦁ on the production and sale of petroleum products;
⦁ on gas and gas supply.

According to the Monthly Newsletter, 30,190.4 thousand tons of oil with gas condensate had been produced in Kazakhstan for the period from January to April 2024 (according to the current data of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ASPR RK). Moreover, 1,660.4 thousand tons of gasoline were produced in Kazakhstan in January–April 2024, which is 2.6% less than for the same period last year. At the same time, compared to the previous month, 25.8% less gasoline was produced in April, and compared to April last year, there has been a decrease of 23.4%.

According to the National Statistics Bureau of the ASPR RK, gas production in Kazakhstan increased by 4.5% over January to April, compared to the same period last year.

This project was founded by the Naft@KZ Telegram channel team in 2024. The PetroMining and PetroCouncil.kz associations, within the framework of the memorandum, decided to support the founder of Naft@KZ, Sabit Almauytov in the development of oil market analytics in Kazakhstan.

Thanks to access to complete data on the production of crude oil, natural gas, liquefied gas and gas condensate throughout Kazakhstan, and on the shipment of oil to the domestic market and for export, experts and stakeholders will be able to make informed decisions, develop strategies and plan their further actions.

The monthly oil newsletter will be regularly updated and improved based on feedback from the oil community. Industry participants will also be able to make their recommendations and suggestions, which will allow us to quickly respond to the needs and requests of professionals, ensuring the relevance and usefulness of the information provided.

The monthly oil newsletter is available in two language versions: Russian (RU) and English (EN).
The "Monthly Newsletter on Oil and Gas Production and Processing in Kazakhstan" project was founded by the team of the Naft@KZ Telegram channel in 2024. The PetroMining and PetroCouncil.kz associations decided to support the founder of Naft@KZ, Sabit Almauytov in developing analytics of the oil market of Kazakhstan.

As part of the memorandum signed by the Chairman of the Oil and Gas Council, Assylbek Dzhakiyev, and the President of the PetroMining Association, Sayat Boranbekov, in March 2024, the teams united in a strategic alliance to scale up activities, and this is the first joint project.
